G’day sir! How may I serve you today? Oh? New to town are ye? Well, you’ve come to the right place! ‘Ere at ye humble post office we know the whole layout of the place. Since t’day’s a quiet day in this ‘ere office why don’t I brew us a cup o cherry tea as we talk? Eh, ‘erhaps you can tell me a lil’ bout where you come from too.
This is where the less fortunate o' the city's numbers live. ‘Tis not an uncommon sight to men sittin' on the sidewalk, beggin' for a few pennies. Trash fills the streets 'n crime runs rampant. If ya don't end up 'ere, you're doin' pretty good for yer'self, but this neighborhood expands every day with new men gone bankrupt ev’ry hour.
The Abandoned Quay: You'd be smart to steer clear from this place at night. It wouldn't be a bad idea to avoid it in the day, too. Supposedly haunted by the ghosts o' dead criminals and their victims. This old boathouse is treaturous in more n' one way. It's flooded an' easy to fall into the water under the moldy planks of wood. This abandoned quay also houses Mafia deals. Yeah, you'd best just stay away
An’ this is where the excitement happens. If yer lookin’ for a good time, this is the place to look. Most o’ the businesses are right on one street. Apart from shoppin’ and havin’ a good time, this is also the place to find a job… If yer be fortunate enough ta snag one from everyone else, that is.
The Burlesque: Now before ye say nothing bout how ya be a respectable gentleman an’ such lemme just explain that in these times such establishments aint just a place for…well ya get it, right? Nowadays, with that darned prohibition going about these are just ‘bout the only place one can salvage a decent drink!
The Worthington Bar: Since the prohibition struck this once bustling bus’ness be only good for a few sorrowful glasses o’ milk or juice…unless ya know when ta go, what yer askin’ for an’ who yer askin’.
The Library: Need ta find a good book to while away ya days? Need a real page-turned ta keep yer mind off the desolation ya see almost ev’rywhere? Why not pop inta the local library an’ get lost between the shelves?
The Warehouses: Mostly abandoned since the depression hit. The ones still officially in use house anything from repair stations, goods storage crates, etc. I wouldn’t go explorin’ those ‘abandoned’ ones though. Even without the mafia about the moss and rotten floor planks could prove rather lethal.
The Business District: Home ta the few trades still struggling along in this ‘ere wretched economy. Ta be honest, I applaud their efforts what with so many bus’nesses goin’ under these days. Haha, most people resort to O'Ceallaigh Share Co these days.
The Shopping District: A depressing place almost fully plastered with those ‘CLOSED’ signs that strike a blow to ones heart. Why, I recall when I was a wee lil’ lad the place used ta be bustling! Well, what can ya do in times such as these? For those place still open they be frequented by the job-hunting unemployed more than anyone else! Still, a few cafes, eateries and grocery stores still appear to thrive…or are at least decently busy. After all, people need those.
The Other Shopping District: Closer to the uptown district really. Don’t journey here unless yer willing ta blow a few hundred on a designer purse an another few hundred on some branded tie!
If yer lookin’ for peace n’ quiet, this would be your favorite place in the whole city. This place is outside the city, but not too far. You’d have plenty o’ friendly neighbors behind those straight, white-picket fences. Endin’ up here means that yer doin’ pretty good. It’s perfect for raisin’ kids or for just livin’ a happy life.
Cedarwood Park: Set smack-dab in the middle o' the suburbs, Cedarwood is the place to be. But this park ain't just for the kiddies. The gracious politicians who put our tax money toward it gave us something to do, too. There's a little pond where you can read, relax, or even nap around in the shade o' the trees, as well as a couple trails to walk around. But mostly it's for the kids.
An’ now we come to the Uptown District. Many a man dreamed of endin’ up here, not that many will. This place is the Ritz, the crème o’ the crème. Wide open spaces, green estates, and giant mansions. Everythin’ is pristine n’ scrubbed to a shine. ‘Up to code,’ accordin’ the rich dogs who live here. O’ course, the servants do all the real work, not that the rich men o’ business would ever admit to that.
Cardinal River: Set on almost three acres o' the greenest and most picturesque land in New York, Cardinal River is the most popular place in the Uptown District. They've got golf, swimming, live music, clubs, and all sorts of other stuff. Rich men o' business frequent this place often, doing their business deals o'er a plate o' caviar. As if there ain't enough perks of bein' rich already, this puts the cherry on top since it's members only.
So that’s ‘bout it in terms o’ my knowledge! Though ya may notice that ‘tis my job ta merely sit in this ‘ere office all day. The delivery boys’ll know more. Heck! You even might know more yerself!
